John Russell letter to R.F. Perotti and obituary, 1951-1956.

Russell writes to State College, Pa. bookseller and autograph dealer Ralph F. Perotti, 6 Dec. 1951, agreeing to autograph his copy of The red mark and noting that it is available in a Pocket Book edition. The letter is signed "per L.R." This could either be his wife, Lili Hilson Russell, or his daughter, Lydia Russell. Includes the original envelope. Also included in the collection is a newspaper clipping of John Russell's obituary printed in the New York times, 8 Mar. 1956.
